If you have more than one Tactacam DEFEND security camera, you are going to want to put thought into how you name each one.
Tactacam DEFEND allows you to create a comprehensive blanket of security camera coverage at multiple locations, and gain insight into what is taking place at each camera by using the Tactacam DEFEND app.
Because of the ability to quickly activate and install multiple security cameras, adding easy-to-understand and descriptive names to each will help you gain clear insight into what is happening at each location in your app.
Naming considerations should apply not only to each camera but also to your site and group locations.
How Should You Name Your DEFEND Cameras?
- You can give your camera almost any name you want
- Most users will find that a location description is most useful – i.e., “Cabin front door entrance”
- The site name should be general enough to understand the area you are trying to defend – i.e., “Mountain cabin”
- If you have a group of cameras around a specific feature, provide that group with a descriptive name as well – i.e., “Driveway”
Providing simple yet descriptive names for cameras, sites, and groups will help you stay organized as you get alerts and notifications and ensure you can know where the potential risks are as you defend your property.
